Saturated fats vs Unsaturated fats - Explained
Two main reasons why so many people are wrong.
#1 Their classification of good and bad fats only considers the effects on cholesterol and LDL. If eating a fat (saturated) causes the levels of these to rise then the fat is considered bad. If eating a fat (unsaturated) causes the levels to fall then the fat has been labeled as a good fat. But clogged arteries, heart attacks, strokes and Type-2 Diabetes are not the only health problems a person can suffer from. It's wrong to classifying a fat as good or bad based solely on what it does to cholesterol and LDL levels.
#2 The public has not been provided with adequate information. Did you know a diet high in unsaturated fats can cause cancer? Arthritis? Do you know these fats can also worse inflammatory reactions? Only recently has the negative effects unsaturated fats have on inflammation been reported. Adverse inflammatory reactions can led to a plethora of nasty diseases.

Norwegian Phenomenon And Multiple Sclerosis
I recently came across an interesting theory concerning Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The theory was named the Norwegian Phenomenon. First, the study referenced epidemiology studies that indicate a higher incidence of MS in countries with diets high in saturated fats compared to countries with diets low in saturated fats. The study I read then took this notion even further. The study chose a single country where one part of the country had a diet high in unsaturated fats compared to another part of the country that had a diet higher in saturated fats. The results of this study point to Omega-3 fish oils as being beneficial in supressing MS.

Pear shaped body
Not every body shape is created equal. The two most common types of body shapes are the pear shaped body and the apple shaped body. Having a pear shape means you are small on top but carry extra weight in your hips and legs. Some men have this shape but the pear shape is much more common in women. Many women are unhappy with their pear shaped body, they wish they had a little less weight in their hips and thighs.
